Introduction

Hello! My name is Nastassja and I am very excited to be joining Rawai Park School. Some information about myself, be it silly or informative. I grew up in Knysna, a cultured town in South Africa. I’ve had many opportunities to grow in life; I started with a career in Accounting. After several years of counting beans, I realized that I needed something more from life. That’s when I started training people in various fields. I’ve always had a passion for teaching. When I was a little girl I used to school our geese, handing out assignments and maintaining discipline. Little did I know that it would turn into a real life passion. My hobbies include camping, photography, outdoor festivities and hanging out with my cat, MeeMee. Photography is my biggest hobby. My husband calls me snap happy. With that said, teaching is my true calling. I have more than 15 years’ experience teaching young learners and adults. I’ve travelled and taught in Africa, China and Thailand, online and onsite. To see a student reach their full potential makes my heart smile. To know that I’ve been a crucial part of their development is the most amazing feeling in the world. I am looking forward to meeting you all. Together we will strive for excellence.

Why Should We Be Kind to Others?

This week we celebrated Say Something Nice Day – a day on which we all make an effort to say something nice to people and to be a little kinder and nicer for the day. But being kind should be something we strive for every day. There are many reasons why we should be kind. Some are more surprising than others!

Magical Field Trip

Magical Field Trip On Tuesday, May 17th, the entire student body of Rawai Park School had a special treat, an all-day field trip! You can imagine the uncertainty of wondering how the weather would be, but thankfully, the day dawned with beautiful weather, and it remained so all day; there was no repeat of the torrential rains we have been having of late. The student body with attendant teachers loaded up in vans to go to the cinema at Central Festival to watch the thrilling fantasy movie, Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which they thoroughly enjoyed Once the movie was finished, we loaded back up in vans to go to the park for a wonderful, delicious picnic, glorying in the marvelous weather and enjoying the park environment with its wide-open spaces and play areas.

Rawai Park School Pet’s Day

On the 11th of May, Rawai Park School celebrated pets day. This day was used to educate our students about pets and how to care for them as well as to raise awareness about street animals and the correct ways of helping these animals. We are very grateful to all of the students, parents, and staff, and most especially to Tina and Kim from Bodhi Rescue for all of the hard work that was put into the day to make it such a big success!
